An earthquake is the shaking of the ground caused by an abrupt shift of rock along a fracture in the Earth, called a fault. Within seconds, an earthquake releases stress that has slowly accumulated within the rock, sometimes over hundreds of years...During an earthquake,people should go under a table or bed to avoid being crush by the ceiling,walls and things like that.Scientist are able to detect earthquake.I'm not sure what the scientist use to detect earthquake but I know that they use some kind of device to do it.I checked the Internet and it said that scientist are able to use laptops to detect earthquake.That's all I could find... Earthquake have occurred in many places like Indonesia,Mexico,China(obviously),Italy and other countries. Some countries have more earthquake than other countries because there is an area called The Pacific Ring of Fire which is very active with earthquakes. The reason is that it's one of the most volcanically active areas in the world. "90% of the world's earthquakes and 81% of the world's largest earthquakes occur along the Ring of Fire. I think that Singapore might not have earthquake because Singapore is surrounded by a few other countries like Malaysia.But that doesn't mean that Singapore will NEVER have any earthquake.You will never know.But once Singapore has any earthquake or any other disaster,KA-BOOM.We'll all be goners and good bye Singapore. By the way,I heard that animals are able to detect earthquake.For example,a dog barking for no reason and the next second,all you know is that your legs are crushed under cripple walls(cripple walls are the walls surrounding the crawl space between the foundation and the first floor)I wonder if its true...

P5 NE show 2008
I enjoyed the show especially the fireworks!It was really beautiful.I did not enjoy the very very first part as it was BORING!!Just singing and talking...But the rest of the show was nice.I think all P5 students must watch the NE show because it is important for us to know what the NE show is all about.I was hoping that the soldiers would fire those guns or something like that...It would be nice to watch those soldiers fire those guns at something(not at us)!THAT'S ALL!HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!!=D
