I think kids nowadays do not get enough sleep. They might have been too addicted to their computer games or television and lost track of time.Or perhaps not.It might be because of too much homework.Sometimes,I do not get enough sleep because of homework(and sometimes because of computer games=P).Pupils not having enough sleep might be also because of stress or pressure their teachers or parents give.I get about 7 or 8 hours of sleep each day.I sleep at 10 and wake up at about 6.15a.m.Normally,having at least 8 hours of sleep is enough, but I DON"T THINK SO!!I need to get at least 9 or 10 hours of sleep at least I think..^^Thinking about a brand new day prevents me from getting enough sleep.Want to know why? That's 'cause you will NEVER know what will happen the next day.Horrible things, nice things or even both on a SAME day.Which is the worst.Because, when one is very sad at first and if something happy suddenly happens,I think that person will go crazy. One might also loose their love ones on a brand new day.(I should stop..this doesn't have ANYTHING to do with the topic!Sorry everyone.)I dont think I have too many things to do everyday, but sometimes, there is a little too much things to do in one day and when I am not able to cope with it,I will not have enough sleep. The things I do from morning till night are:homework, homework, homework, revision and playing computer games or watching television.=)I think children can help themselves to get enough sleep by not playing too much computer games or watching too much television.Parents can also help by ensuring that their kid(s)do not play too much computer games or watch too much television.Parents should band them from doing those things they do not listen.Teachers can also help by giving less homework!=) ^^(But i don't want to fail my exams because of totally no homework which I am sure will Not happen.)

As everyone konw, the Olympics started out in Greece. The Olympics Games will occur every four years. The Olympic Games, originally created to honor Zeus, was the most important national festival of the ancient Greeks, and a focus of political rivalries between the nation-states. However, all competitions involved individual competitors rather than teams. Winning an Olympic contest was regarded more highly than winning a battle and was proof of an individual arete or personal excellence. The winners were presented with garlands, crowned with olive wreaths, and viewed as national heroes.Although records of the Olympics date back to 776 BC when the Olympics were reorganized and the official "First Olympiad" was held, Homer's Iliad suggests that they existed as early as the 12th century BC. The games were held every four years in honor of Zeus, in accordance with the four year time periods which the Greeks called olympiads. Emperor Theodosius I of Rome discontinued them in the 4th century AD, and they did not occur again until they were reinstated in Athens in 1896.Originally, the Olympics was confined to running, but by the 15th Olympiad, additional sports were added the pentathlon (five different events), boxing, wrestling, chariot racing, as well as a variety of foot races of varying lengths, including a long-distance race of about 2.5 miles.Athletes usually competed nude, proudly displaying their perfect bodies. Women, foreigners, slaves, and dishonored persons were forbidden to compete; women, once they were married, were not even allowed to watch any Olympic events, except for chariot races. However, every four years, women held their own games, called the Heraea after Hera, held at Argos, and beginning as early as the 6th century B.C. and lasting at least six centuries until Roman rule.I am not interested in the Olympics, because I do not enjoy sports besides soccer, cycling and jogging.=)Anyway,Tao Li had impressed me as she was the first Singaporean female swimmer to reach a FINA World Aquatics Championships final and she had also won many medals.Look...Medals

She's good isnt she?Oh and I do NOT want to ever take part in the Olympics.I am VERY VERY VERY VERY bad at sports.Seriously..Anyway,competition makes me really nervous and I don't like the nervous feeling.I think it's worth it organising the Olympics as it is gives athletes from all over the world a chance to compete with one another and it also helps build their sportsmanship too.
